Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27962

Nasr bin Ali Al-Jahdhami told us, Abu Al-Yaman Al-Mu’alla bin Rashid told us, he said: My grandmother, Umm Asim, told me, and she was the mother of a son. By Sunan bin Salamah, she said: A person with good deeds came to us while we were eating from a bowl, and he told us that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever eats from a bowl and then licks it, the bowl will ask for forgiveness for him.” Abu Issa said: This is a strange hadith. We do not know it except from the hadith of Al-Mu’alla. Bin Rashid. Yazid bin Harun and more than one of the imams narrated this hadith on the authority of Al-Mu’alla bin Rashid.
