Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28029

Muhammad bin Al-Muthanna told us, Abdul-Wahhab Al-Thaqafi told us, on the authority of Yunus bin Ubaid, on the authority of Al-Hasan Al-Basri, on the authority of his mother, on the authority of Aisha, She said: We used to throw water to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in a waterskin with the top of it tied to him unarmed. We would throw it out in the morning and he would drink it in the evening. We make it boil in the evening and he drinks it in the morning. He said, and on the authority of Jabir, Abu Sa`id, and Ibn Abbas. Abu Issa said: This is a good hadith. It is strange. We do not know of the hadith of Yunus bin Ubaid except through this route, and this hadith was narrated from another route, on the authority of Aisha as well. .
