Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28044

Ali bin Khashram narrated to us, Issa bin Yunus narrated to us, on the authority of Rushdin bin Kurayb, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was... He drank and exhaled twice. Abu Issa said: This is a strange hadith. We do not know it except from the hadith of Rishdin ibn Kurayb. He said: I asked Abu Muhammad Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman on the authority of Rishdin bin Kurayb. I said he is stronger or Muhammad bin Kurayb. He said: How close they are, and Rishdin bin Kuraib is the more preferable of them to me. He said, “I asked Muhammad bin Ismail about this, and he said Muhammad bin Kuraib is more preferable than Rishdin bin Kuraib.” The saying I have is what Abu Muhammad Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Rishdin bin Kurayb said, which is more likely and greater, and Ibn Abbas agreed and saw it. They are brothers and they have evil deeds.
