Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28240

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, he said Muhammad bin Ja’far narrated to us, he said Shu’bah narrated to us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Abu Al-Mutawakkil, on the authority of Abu Sa’id, he said: He came A man went to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, “My brother had stomach problems. He said, ‘Give him honey to drink.’ So he gave him something to drink, then he came and said, ‘O The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Give him honey to drink.” So he gave him a drink and then came to him. He said, “O Messenger of God, I gave him honey to drink, but it only made him more irritable.” He said, “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “God has spoken the truth.” And your brother’s belly lied, give him honey to drink.” So he gave him honey to drink and he was healed. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
