Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28250

Abdullah bin Humaid told us, he said: Zakaria bin Adi told us, Ubaid Allah bin Amr told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel, on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah said: The wife of Saad bin Al-Rabi’ came with her two daughters from Saad to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, Messenger of God, these are the daughters of Saad bin Al-Rabi’. Their father was killed with you as a martyr on the day of Uhud, and their uncle took their money and did not leave any money for them. And they should not be married unless they have wealth. He said, “God will decide that.” Then the verse about inheritance was revealed, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was sent To their uncle, he said, “Give two-thirds to Sa’d’s daughters and give their mother one-eighth, and whatever remains is yours.” Abu Issa said this is a hadith. It is good and authentic. We do not know it except from the hadith of Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel, and a partner also narrated it on the authority of Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel. .
