He said: “It is not permissible for a man to give a gift and then take it back, except the father in what he gives to his child.” The example of someone who gives a gift and then takes it back is like a dog who eats until he is full, vomits and then returns to his vomit.” Abu Issa said this. A good and authentic hadith. Al-Shafi’i said: It is not permissible for someone who has been given a gift to take it back, except the father, who has the right to take back what he gave to his child. He used this hadith as evidence.
