Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, Amr bin Asim narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, on the authority of Ali bin Zayd, on the authority of Al-Hasan, on the authority of Jundub, on the authority of Hudhayfah, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “A believer should not humiliate himself.” They said, “How can he humiliate himself?” He said. He is exposed to afflictions that he cannot bear.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good and strange hadith.”
