Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27887

He said: I heard Ahmad ibn al-Hasan say that Ahmad ibn Hanbal used to refer to this hadith when He was mentioned about it two months before his death, and he used to say that this was the last command of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Then Ahmad ibn Hanbal left this hadith Why? They were confused about its chain of transmission, as some of them narrated it on the authority of Abdullah bin Uqaym, on the authority of their sheikhs from Juhayna.
