Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28607

Muhammad bin Hatim Al-Muaddeb told us, Ammar bin Muhammad’s nephew, Sufyan Al-Thawri told us, Abu Al-Jaroud the blind, whose name is Ziyad, told us. Ibn al-Mundhir al-Hamdani, on the authority of Atiya al-Awfi, on the authority of Abu Sa`id al-Khudri, he said, “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said.” Any believer who feeds a believer who is hungry, God will feed him from the fruits of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection, and any believer who gives drink to a believer who is thirsty, God will feed him on the Day of Resurrection. On the Day of Resurrection, from the sealed nectar, and whichever believer covers a naked believer, God will cover him with the greens of Paradise.” He said. Abu Issa, this is a strange hadith. This was narrated on the authority of Atiyya, on the authority of Abu Saeed, and it is authentic and more similar to us.
