Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28621

Suwayd told us, Abdullah told us, on the authority of Yunus, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Urwa bin Al-Zubayr, and Ibn Al-Musayyab, that Hakim bin Hazzam, said I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he gave me. Then he said, “O Wise One, this is Money is green and sweet, so whoever takes it with a generous soul will be blessed with it, and whoever takes it with a generous soul will not be blessed with it and it is Like one who eats and is not satisfied, and the upper hand is better than the lower hand.” Then a wise man said, so I said, “O Messenger of God, by the One who sent you with the truth, no.” Arza Nothing after you until I leave this world. Abu Bakr used to invite Hakim to give, but he refused to accept it. Then Omar invited him. To give it to him, but he refused to accept anything from him, so Omar said, O community of Muslims, I call you as witness to a wise man. I am offering him his due from He refuses to take this spoils. No sage has ever bequeathed anything to any of the people after the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, until he died. He said. This is an authentic hadith
