Hadith #28812
Abu Al-Ash’ath narrated to us, Ahmad bin Al-Miqdam Al-Ajli Al-Basri narrated to us, Umayyah bin Khalid narrated to us, Ishaq bin Yahya bin narrated to us Talha, Ibn Ka’b bin Malik told me, on the authority of his father, he said, I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying, “Whoever seeks knowledge in order to compete with the scholars.” Or to imitate the fools with it, or to turn people’s faces towards Him, God will cause him to enter the Fire.” Abu Issa said, “This is a strange hadith that we do not know.” Except from this point of view. Ishaq bin Yahya bin Talha is not that strong among them. His memory was spoken about.
