Sa’id bin Yahya bin Sa’id al-Umayyad told us, my father told us, Muhammad bin Ishaq told us, on the authority of Abu al-Zinad, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman al-Araj, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Ibrahim, peace be upon him, never lied about anything except about three times.” His saying: (I am sick) when he was not sick, and his saying to Sarah my sister, and his saying: (Indeed, this eldest of them did it).” Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
