Hadith #29572
Al-Walid bin Muslim narrated to us, Al-Awza’i narrated to us, Umair bin Hani narrated to me, he said Junada bin Abi Umayyah narrated to me, Ubadah bin Al-Samit, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: “Whoever wakes up at night and says: There is no god but God alone, without any partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him is praise, and He has power over all things. Glory be to God, praise be to God, there is no god but God, and God is great, and there is no power or strength. There is no strength except in God. Then he said, ‘My Lord, forgive me.’ Or he said, ‘Then he supplicated, and his prayer was answered.’ If he was determined and performed ablution and then prayed, his prayer would be accepted.” Abu Issa said: This is a good, authentic, and strange hadith.
