Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29598

Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, Abu Dawud told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, he said, I heard Al-Rabi’ bin Al-Baraa bin Azib, He spoke on the authority of his father, that whenever the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, came from a journey, he would say, “We are repentant, worshipers of our Lord, thankful.” He said. Abu Issa, this is a hasan and authentic hadith. Al-Thawri narrated this hadith on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Al-Baraa, and he did not mention in it on the authority of Al-Rabi’ ibn Al-Baraa and Shu’bah’s narration are more correct.
