Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29641

Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, Abu Muawiyah told us, on the authority of Shabib bin Shaybah, on the authority of Al-Hasan Al-Basri, on the authority of Imran bin Husayn, he said, he said The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, told my father, “O Husayn, how many gods are you worshiping today?” My father said, “Seven on earth and one in heaven.” “Which of them do you regard based on your desire and fear?” He who is in heaven said. He said, “O Husayn, if you had submitted, I would have taught you Two words that will benefit you. He said, when Husayn converted to Islam, he said, O Messenger of God, teach me the two words that you promised me. So he said, “Say Oh God, inspire me with guidance and protect me from the evil of myself. He said: This is a hasan ghareeb hadith. This hadith was narrated on the authority of Imran bin Invulnerable in any other way.
