Hadith #29689
Qutaibah narrated to us, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Yazid bin Abi Habib, on the authority of Abu Al-Khair, on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, on the authority of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, He said to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “Teach me a supplication that I may pray with in my prayer.” He said, “Say, O God, I have wronged myself greatly, and I do not He forgives sins except You, so grant me forgiveness from You and have mercy on me. Indeed, You are the Forgiving, the Merciful.” He said: This is a good and authentic hadith. It is strange, and it is the hadith of Laith bin Saad and Abu Al-Khair, whose name is Marthad bin Abdullah Al-Yazani.
