حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نُصَيْرَةَ، عَنْ مَوْلًى، لأَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ مَا أَصَرَّ مَنِ اسْتَغْفَرَ وَلَوْ فَعَلَهُ فِي الْيَوْمِ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي نُصَيْرَةَ وَلَيْسَ إِسْنَادُهُ بِالْقَوِيِّ ‏.‏
Husayn ibn Yazid al-Kufi narrated to us, Abu Yahya al-Hammani narrated to us, Uthman ibn Waqid narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Nusayra, on the authority of a servant of my father Bakr, on the authority of Abu Bakr, said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The one who asks for forgiveness does not persist even if he did it seventy times a day.” He said: Abu Issa This is a strange hadith, but we know it from the hadith of Abu Nusayra, and its chain of transmission is not strong.
