Abbas bin Abdul-Azeem Al-Anbari narrated to us, Al-Nadr bin Muhammad Al-Jarashi Al-Yamimi narrated to us, Ikrimah bin Ammar narrated to us, Abu Zumail, on the authority of Malik ibn Marthad, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Dharr, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Your smiling at your brother is yours.” Your enjoining what is right and forbidding what is evil is charity, your guiding a man in the land of error is charity for you, and your sight for a man with bad eyesight is charity. It is a charity for you, and your removing a stone, a thorn, or a bone from the road is a charity for you, and your emptying your bucket into your brother’s bucket is a charity for you. ". He said, and on the authority of Ibn Masoud, Jabir, Hudhayfah, Aisha, and Abu Hurairah. Abu Issa said: This is a good and strange hadith. And Abu Zumail’s name is Samak bin Al-Walid Al-Hanafi.
