حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا غَزَا قَالَ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ عَضُدِي وَأَنْتَ نَصِيرِي وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ عَضُدِي ‏.‏ يَعْنِي عَوْنِي ‏.‏
Nasr bin Ali Al-Jahdhami told us, my father told me, on the authority of Al-Muthanna bin Saeed, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas, who said that when the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, invaded He said, “O God, you are my support, and you are my supporter, and by you I fight.” He said this is a hasan ghareeb hadith, and the meaning of his saying is my support.
