وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ وَأَبِىْ بَرْزَةَ قَالَا: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللّهِ ﷺ فِىْ جَنَازَةٍ فَرَأَى قَوْمًا قَدْ طَرَحُوْا أَرْدِيَتَهُمْ يَمْشُونَ فِي قُمُصٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ ﷺ: «أَبِفِعْلِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ تَأْخُذُوْنَ؟ أَوْ بِصَنِيْعِِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ تَشَبَّهُونَ؟ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَدْعُوَ عَلَيْكُمْ دَعْوَةً تَرْجِعُونَ فِىْ غَيْرِ صُوَرِكُمْ» قَالَ: فَأَخَذُوْا أَرْدِيَتَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَعُوْدُوْا لِذلِكَ. رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ
On the authority of Imran bin Husayn and Abu Barza, who said: We went out with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, at a funeral, and he saw people who had cast off their robes, walking. In a shirt, then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Are you taking charges for the actions of pre-Islamic times?” Or are you imitating the deeds of ignorance? I wanted to pray for you A call to you to return in a form other than yours. He said: Then they took their cloaks and did not return to that. Narrated by Ibn Majah
