Hadith #39793
وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ ﷺ: «مَثَلُ الَّذِىْ يَتَصَدَّقُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِه أَوْ يُعْتِقُ كَالَّذِي يُهْدِىْ إِذَا شَبِعَ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَالدَّارِمِيُّ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَصَحَّحَ
On the authority of Abu al-Darda’, he said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “The example of one who gives alms when he dies or is freed is like one who is given a gift when he is satisfied.” Narrated by Ahmad, Al-Nasa’i, Al-Darimi and Al-Tirmidhi and authenticated.
