Hadith #39795
He said, I offered to the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him), O Messenger of Allah! When the poor man comes to my door (and asks for something from me) I am very ashamed, because I have nothing in my house to give him. Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, Give him something, even if it is a hoof scorched by fire. (أحمد، وأبو داود، والترمذي) [1]
