Mishkatul Masabih — Hadith #39810

'Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud (RA) said in the name of Rasulullah (SAW) that Allah loves three people - (1) He who gets up at night and recites the Book of Allah, (2) He who gives something in his right hand and keeps it secret. The narrator says, I think he is Said - From his left hand (keeps a secret) and (3) He who, while in an army, marches towards the enemy (and defeats them or is martyred) even though his companions are defeated. (Tirmidhi, he called it Ghayr Mahfuz or Shaz. A narrator of this is Abu Bakr Ibn Ayyash was quite wrong. [But according to another Sanad it is Sahih]) [1]
