Hadith #39891
وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ ﷺ: «اِقْرَؤُوا الْقُرْاٰنَ بِلُحُونِ الْعَرَبِ وَأَصْوَاتِهَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَلُحُونَ أَهْلِ الْعِشْقِ وَلُحُوْنَ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابَيْنِ وَسَيَجِىئُ بَعْدِىْ قوم يرجعُونَ بِالْقُرْاٰنِ ترجع الْغِنَاءِ وَالنَّوْحِ لَا يُجَاوِزُ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ مَفْتُونَهٌ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَقُلُوبُ الَّذِينَ يُعْجِبُهُمْ شَأْنُهُمْ». رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِىُّ فِىْ شُعَبِ الْإِيْمَانِ
On the authority of Hudhayfah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Recite the Qur’an with the tunes of the Arabs and their voices, and beware of the tunes of the people of love.” And the melody of the People of the Book. And after me will come a people who will return with the Qur’an. Singing will return, and lamentation will not go beyond their throats, captivated by their hearts. And hearts “Those who admire their affairs.” Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab Al-Iman
