Hadith #39892
On the authority of Ubaida al-Maliki, who was a companion of his, he said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “O people of the Qur’an, do not lie down on your feet and recite the Qur’an.” Its recitation is correct throughout the night and the day, and recite it and sing it and ponder what is in it that you may succeed, and do not hasten its reward, for indeed there is a reward for Him.” Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab Al-Iman
