Hadith #40083
And on the authority of Thawban, he said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “There are three things that it is not permissible for anyone to do: A man should not make a people believe and devote himself only to supplication. Without them, if he does that, he has betrayed them. He should not look at the bottom of a house before asking permission, for if he does that, he has betrayed them, and he should not pray while he is in need until He is easing up.” It was narrated by Abu Dawud and similar to it by al-Tirmidhi
