Hadith #40179
On the authority of Jabir, he said: We went with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, until we were in the same patch of land. He said: When we came to a shady tree, we would leave it for the Messenger of God. God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Then a man of the polytheists came and the sword of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was hanging from a tree. He took the sword of the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and pierced it and said to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. God, peace and blessings be upon him: Do you fear me? He said: “No.” He said: Who will prevent you from me? He said: “May God protect me from you.” He said: Then the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, threatened him, so he sheathed the sword and hung it up. He said: Then prayer was called and he prayed in a group of two rak’ahs, then they delayed and he prayed. With the other group, two rak'ahs, he said: and it was The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, has four rak’ahs, and two rak’ahs for the people. (agreed)
