Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45172

Ya'qub told us, my father told us, on the authority of Ibn Ishaq, Yahya bin Abbad bin Abdullah bin Al-Zubayr told me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abdullah Bin Al-Zubayr, he said, “By God, we met Uthman bin Affan in Al-Juhfah, and with him was a group of the people of the Levant, including Habib bin Maslamah.” Al-Fihri said, when Othman said, and it was mentioned to him, “Tamattu’ of Umrah until Hajj, that the fulfillment of Hajj and Umrah should not be during the months of Hajj.” If you postpone this Umrah until you visit this House twice, that would be better, for God Almighty has expanded in goodness and upon me.
