Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45300

Then she came back, and he said, “What did you do?” She said, “I was ashamed to ask him.” So we all went to him. Then Ali, may God be pleased with him, said, O Messenger of God, by God, I have become old until my chest hurts, and Fatima, may God be pleased with her, said: I grinded until my hands were wet, and God has brought you in captivity and abundance, so serve us. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, By God, I will not give you both and leave The people of Suffah have full bellies. I cannot find anything to spend on them, but I sell them and spend their money on them, so they return. So the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to them and they entered into their velvet, and when it covered their heads, their feet were exposed, and when they covered Their feet were uncovered, and their heads were uncovered. They aroused, and he said, “Where are you?” Then he said, “Shall I not tell you something better than what you asked of me?” They said, “Yes,” and he said some words. Gabriel, peace be upon him, taught them to me, and he said: You exalt God ten times after every prayer, and you praise Him ten times, and you exalt God ten times, and when you two go to your bed So they glorified God thirty-three times, and “Thank God” thirty-three times, and said “Allahu Akbar” thirty-four times. He said, “By God, I have not left them since.” The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, taught them to me.
