Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45588

Muhammad bin Ja`far told us, Shu`bah told us, on the authority of Al-Hakam, he said: I heard Ibn Abi Laila, Ali told us, that Fatima, may God be pleased with her She complained about what she found of the effects of the millstone on her hand, and a captive came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, so she went off and did not find him, but she found Aisha, may God be pleased with her, told her. When the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, came, Aisha informed him of the coming of Fatima, may God be pleased with her. Then the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, came to her. We had taken our beds, so we went to get up, and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: And peace be upon him, where you were, and he sat between us until I felt the coolness of his feet on my chest. Then he said, “Shall I not teach you anything better than what you asked for, when you take it?” Your sleeping places are to glorify God thirty-four times, glorify Him thirty-three times, and praise Him thirty-three times, for that is better. You have a servant.
