Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45780

When he came, he knocked on it and it went away until he passed. The valley, then he held it, and returned Al-Fadl, then he walked until he came to the Jamarat and threw it, then he came to the cliff, and said, “This is the cliff and from Mina.” All of them were slaughtered, then a young woman from Khath’am came to him and said, “Abu Sheikh has performed it, and God’s obligation of Hajj has reached him. So did he do it?” It is permissible for me to perform Hajj on his behalf. He said, “Yes, so perform Hajj on behalf of your father.” He said, “He twisted the neck of Al-Fadl.” Al-Abbas said to him, “O Messenger of God, what is the matter with you twisting your neck?” Your cousin said, “I saw a young man and a young woman, and I feared that Satan might be upon them.” He said, “And a man came to him and said, ‘I cut my hair before I shave.’ He said, ‘Shave or cut it.’” There is no harm in it, he said, and he came to Zamzam and said, O children of Abdul Muttalib, your watering can, had the people not prevailed upon you to do so, it would have been removed.
