Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #46586

Hadith #46586
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: “None of you should say, ‘My soul is filthy,’ but let him say, ‘I have filthed myself.’” (Agreed upon). The scholars said the meaning of “I filthed,” meaning “I raged,” which is the meaning of “I filthed,” but the word filth is disliked.
