Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #46663

On the authority of Auf ibn Malik ibn al-Tufayl that Aisha, may God be pleased with her, narrated that Abdullah ibn al-Zubair, may God be pleased with them both, said in a sale or tender that Aisha, may God be pleased with her, said: By God, you will stop Aisha, or I will quarantine her. She said, Did he say this? They said: Yes, she said: It is for God. I have vowed never to speak to Ibn al-Zubayr, so Ibn al-Zubayr sought intercession for her when the migration took a long time, and she said: No, by God, no. I will never intercede for him, and I will not perjure myself My vow, and when that had been prolonged for Ibn al-Zubayr, he spoke to al-Miswar Ibn Makhramah and Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad ibn Abd Yaghuth and said to them: I adjure you by God when you brought me in to Aisha, may God be pleased with her, for it is not permissible for her to vow a severance from me. So al-Miswar and Abd al-Rahman approached him until they asked for permission to come to Aisha and said: May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you. Shall we enter? Aisha said: Enter. They said: All of us? She said: Yes Enter, all of you, and you do not know that Ibn al-Zubayr is with them. When they entered, Ibn al-Zubayr entered the veil and embraced Aisha, may God be pleased with her, and began pleading with her and crying. Al-Maswar and Abd al-Rahman began pleading with her except that she spoke to him and she accepted from him, and they said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade what she had learned of emigration, and it is not permissible for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three nights. The ticket and the forest, I started remembering them She would cry and say: I made a vow and the vow was severe. They did not stop until she spoke to Ibn al-Zubayr, and she freed forty slaves as a result of her vow. She would remember her vow after that and cry until her tears soaked her veil.
