Al-Adab Al-Mufrad — Hadith #46888
Hadith #46888
Ismail told us, he said: Malik told me, on the authority of Sumayy, the client of Abu Bakr, on the authority of Abu Salih al-Samman, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace He said: While a man was walking on a road, he became extremely thirsty. He found a well and went down into it, drank and then came out. He saw a dog panting. He was eating dirt due to thirst, so the man said: This dog has become as thirsty as I was, so he went down to the well and filled his socks, then He held it in his mouth and gave it to the dog, and God thanked him and forgave him. They said: O Messenger of God, do we have a reward for the animals? He said: There is a reward for every woman with a moist liver.
