Al-Adab Al-Mufrad — Hadith #47313
Hadith #47313
Ahmad bin Yaqoub told us, he said: Yazid bin Al-Miqdam bin Shurayh bin Hani Al-Harithi told us, on the authority of his father Al-Miqdam, on the authority of Shurayh Ibn Hani said: Hani Ibn Yazid told me that when he came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, with his people, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, heard them. They called him Abu Al-Hakam, so the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, called him and said: Indeed, Allah is the judge, and to Him belongs judgement, so why did you call him Abu Al-Hakam? He said: No, but if my people disagreed about anything, they came to me and I judged between them, and both parties were satisfied. He said: What He did this well. Then he said: What children do you have? I said: I have Shurayh, Abdullah, and Muslim, Banu Hani. He said: Who is the eldest of them? I said: Shurayh. He said: You are Abu Shurayh. He called for him and his son.
