حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ اسْمُ مَيْمُونَةَ بَرَّةَ، فَسَمَّاهَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَيْمُونَةَ.
Amr bin Marzuq told us, he said: Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Ata’ bin Abi Maymunah, on the authority of Abu Rafi’, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said: The name of Auspicious land, so the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, called her Maimunah.
