Hadith #54165
Yazid bin Harun told us, Hammam told us, Yahya bin Abi Kathir told us, Abdullah bin Abi Qatada told us, that his father He told him that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to recite in the first two rak’ahs of the noon prayer the Umm al-Kitab and two surahs, And in the other two rak’ahs it is Umm al-Kitab, and he used to make us hear the verse, and he used to prolong the first rak’ah as long as he did not prolong the second, and so on in the prayer. Asr, and so on in the morning prayer.”
