Hadith #54182
Yazid bin Harun informed us, Muhammad bin Amr informed us, on the authority of Abu Salamah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said And he said: “The Imam is appointed to be followed in prayer, so when he says “Allahu Akbar,” “Allahu Akbar,” and when he bows, “so bow,” and when he prostrates, then prostrate, and when he says: “He heard.” God is for those who praise Him, so say: O God, our Lord, praise be to You, and if he prays standing, then pray standing, and if he prays sitting, then pray sitting all together.”
