حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي بِثَلَاثٍ لَا أَدَعُهُنَّ حَتَّى أَمُوتَ :الْوِتْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنَامَ، وَصَوْمِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ، وَمِنْ الضُّحَى رَكْعَتَيْنِ "
Suleiman bin Harb told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Abbas al-Jariri, on the authority of Abu Uthman, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: “My friend advised me “There are three things I will not abandon until I die: the Witr prayer before I sleep, fasting three days of every month, and two rak’ahs of forenoon prayer.”
