Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #54749

Othman bin Umar told us, Yunus told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “when he stoned the Jamarat that follows The mosque is the mosque of Mina. He threw seven pebbles at it, saying “Allahu Akbar” with each pebble, then he moved forward in front of it and stood facing the Qiblah. Raising his hands, he would stand for a long time, then he would come to the second Jamarat and stone it with seven pebbles, saying “Allahu Akbar” each time he threw a pebble, then he would descend. From the left side of the valley, he raises his hands in supplication, then he comes to the Jamarat which is at Al-Aqaba, and throws seven pebbles at it. He says “Allahu Akbar” whenever he throws a pebble, then he leaves and does not stop there.” Al-Zuhri said: I heard Salim bin Abdullah narrating this hadith, on the authority of His father, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Ibn Umar used to do it.
