حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سُفْيَانَ بْنَ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ يُحَدِّثُ نَاسًا مَعَهُ عِنْدَ بَاب الْمَسْجِدِ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ :" مَنْ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا لَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ زَرْعًا وَلَا ضَرْعًا، نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ ".
قَالُوا : أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ : إِي وَرَبِّ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ
Al-Hakam bin Al-Mubarak narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, on the authority of Yazid bin Khusaifa, on the authority of Al-Sa’ib bin Yazid, that he heard Sufyan bin Abi Zuhayr was talking to people at the door of the mosque. He said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “Whoever keeps a dog is of no use. Seeds or udders, a Qirat is subtracted from his work every day.” They said: Did you hear this from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace? He said: Yes, by God. This mosque
