حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ : أَنَّ عَلِيًّا ، وَزَيْدًا قَالَا :" الْوَلَاءُ لِلْكُبْر ".
وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، وَشُرَيْحٌ : لِلْوَرَثَةِ
Ahmad bin Abdullah told us, Abu Shihab told us, on the authority of Al-Shaybani, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi: That Ali and Zaid said: “Loyalty is to pride.”
Abdullah and Shurayh said: For the heirs.
