حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، قَالَ : " كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ عُمَرُ فِي شَأْنِ فُكَيْهَةَ بِنْتِ سَمْعَانَ أَنَّهَا مَاتَتْ وَتَرَكَتْ ابْنَ أَخِيهَا لِأَبِيهَا وَأُمِّهَا، وَابْنَ أَخِيهَا لِأَبِيهَا، فَكَتَبَ عُمَرُ :إِنَّ الْوَلَاءَ لِلْكُبْرِ "
Yazid narrated to us, Ash’ath narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Sirin, on the authority of Abdullah bin Utbah, who said: “Umar wrote to me regarding Fakihah bint Simaan said that she died and left her nephew to her father and her mother, and her nephew to her father, so Omar wrote: “Loyalty is to pride.”
