حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ ، وَرَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، وَغَيْرِهِمَا، قَالُوا فِيمَنْ أُعْتِقَ سَائِبَةً :" إِنَّ وَلَاءَهُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَهُ، إِنَّمَا سَيَّبَهُ مِنْ الرِّقِّ، وَلَمْ يُسَيِّبْهُ مِنْ الْوَلَاءِ "
Abu Sa`id bin Amr told us, on the authority of Abu Bakr bin Abi Maryam, on the authority of Damra, Rashid bin Saad, and others, they said about who was freed “His loyalty is to the one who freed him. He only freed him from slavery, and did not free him from loyalty.”
