حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَهْمُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْحَمْرَاوِيُّ : " أَنَّ رَجُلًا تُوُفِّيَ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ وَارِثٌ، فَكُتِبَ فِيهِ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ خَلِيفَةٌ، فَكَتَبَ : أَنْاقْتَسِمُوا مِيرَاثَهُ عَلَى مَنْ كَانَ يَأْخُذُ مَعَهُمْ الْعَطَاءَ، فَقُسِمَ مِيرَاثُهُ عَلَى مَنْ كَانَ يَأْخُذُ مَعَهُمْ الْعَطَاءَ فِي عِرَافَتِهِ "
Abdullah bin Yazid told us, Haywa told us, Saham bin Yazid Al-Hamrawi told me: “A man died and had no heir, so he wrote In it to Omar bin Abdul Aziz, who was a caliph, and he wrote: They divided his inheritance among those who were taking the gift with them, so his inheritance was divided For those who used to take gifts with them during their divination.”
