Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26252

It is narrated on the authority of Shahr bin Hawshab, who said: I saw Jarir bin Abdullah performing ablution and wiping over his socks, so I told him about that, and he said: I saw the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He performed his ritual ablution and wiped over his socks. I said to him, “Should I embrace Islam before the table or after the table?” and he said, “I did not become Muslim until after Al-Maeda. Qutaybah narrated that to us. Khalid bin Ziyad al-Tirmidhi narrated to us, on the authority of Muqatil bin Hayyan, on the authority of Shahr bin Hawshab, on the authority of Jarir.
