Hadith #26376
قَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ وَسُئِلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، يَصُومُ النَّهَارَ وَيَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ لاَ يَشْهَدُ جُمُعَةً وَلاَ جَمَاعَةً قَالَ هُوَ فِي النَّارِ . قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ هَنَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ . قَالَ وَمَعْنَى الْحَدِيثِ أَنْ لاَ يَشْهَدَ الْجَمَاعَةَ وَالْجُمُعَةَ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا وَاسْتِخْفَافًا بِحَقِّهَا وَتَهَاوُنًا بِهَا .
Mujahid said, and Ibn Abbas was asked about a man who fasts during the day and prays at night, and does not witness the Friday prayer or the congregational prayer. He said, “He will be in Hell.” He said: Hanad narrated to us, Al-Muharbi narrated to us, on the authority of Laith, on the authority of Mujahid. He said, “The meaning of the hadith is that he does not witness the congregational prayer and the Friday prayer without desire.” On her behalf, belittling her rights and being negligent towards her.
