Abdah bin Abdullah Al-Khuza’i Al-Basri narrated to us, Zaid bin Al-Hubab narrated to us, Husayn bin Waqid narrated to us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Buraidah, on the authority of his father, he said, “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to recite in the evening and after-afternoon prayers of the sun and similar surahs.” He said, “And in Chapter on the authority of Al-Baraa bin Aazib and Anas. Abu Issa said the hadith of Buraydah is a hasan hadith. It was narrated on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he read in The last supper with figs and olives. It was narrated on the authority of Uthman bin Affan that he used to recite in the supper with surahs from the middle of Al-Mufassal is like Surat Al-Munafiqeen and its like. It was narrated on the authority of the Companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Followers, that they recited more than this. And less, it is as if the matter in their view is broad in this matter. And the best thing in this matter is what was narrated on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he recited By the sun and its bright suns, and by the figs and the olives.
