Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, Waki’ told us, and Yahya bin Adam told us, they said Sufyan told us, on the authority of Abu al-Zubayr, on the authority of Jabir, he said the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sent me May God bless him and grant him peace, I was in need of a need, so I came while he was praying on his mount towards the east, and prostration was lower than bowing. He said, and in the chapter about Anas, Ibn Umar, Abu Saeed, and Aamir bin Rabi’ah. Abu Issa said: The hadith of Jabir is a good and authentic hadith, and this hadith was narrated from others. It is narrated on the authority of Jabir. This is acted upon according to the majority of scholars. We do not know of any disagreement among them. They do not see anything wrong with a man praying. On his mount, voluntarily, wherever his face is towards the Qiblah or elsewhere.
