Hadith #26528
Ali bin Hajar told us, Ismail bin Jafar told us, on the authority of Al-Ala’ bin Abdul Rahman, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet prayed God, upon him be peace, said: “Yawning during prayer is from Satan, so if one of you yawns, let him suppress it as much as he can.” He said, and in the chapter on Abu Sa`id al-Khudri was the grandfather of Adi bin Thabit. Abu Issa said: The hadith of Abu Hurairah is a good and authentic hadith. Some of the people of Knowledge is yawning during prayer. Abraham said, “Indeed, I respond to yawning by clearing one’s throat.”
